Who We Are
In response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Catholic Charities, as a ministry of the Archdioceses of Newark, serves the poor and marginalized and advocates for their needs in order to promote the inherent dignity and worth of all people without regard to race, religion, or culture.
What We Do
Canaan House is a permanent supportive housing program that improves the self-determination of low-income, homeless individuals and families in Jersey City / Hudson County who are living with HIV/AIDS and are challenged by mental illness and substance abuse problems.
