The position requires an applicant that is either currently attending college and is majoring in Special Education OR a retired Special Education teacher.

The Parish Access Center is looking for an organized individual who can work in an office environment and help the staff with light clerical tasks.

Duties include:

This position will be responsible for assisting with gardening projects and backyard cleanup and maintenance.

Seeking individual with good organizational skills to help arrange, maintain and keep inventory for a food pantry located in an emergency shelter. May include some lifting and cleaning.

Looking for an individual or team with strength in financial planning and/or budgeting to teach a workshop to adults. The course should include basic financial planning skills such as how to manage household expenses, opening bank accounts, establishing good credit and easy ways to cut day-to-day costs.

This could be a 1x opportunity but open to schedule multiple workshops throughout the year.

Special Qualifications/ Skills for Volunteers: Financial background preferred but not required.  Basic knowledge of financial planning needed. Good interpersonal skills.

We seek volunteers to assist with our Utilities Assistance program (LIHEAP-USF).

Our volunteers will be conducting phone screenings of clients who may be interested and/or in need of assistance with their electric bills.

Volunteers will be trained with program fundamentals and customer service.

This position will assist in the Autistic Applied Behavior Analysis Therapy (ABA) program; providing assistance in and out of the classroom.

Instructor should be able to guide children through beginner yoga poses while also teaching them ways to practice stretching and meditative techniques.

Special Qualifications/ Skills for Volunteers: Must be certified as a yoga instructor with experience and/or familiarity teaching yoga to groups of children.

This position will assist teacher with providing K - 12 students with extra reading tutoring. 

The position requires an applicant that is either currently attending college and is majoring in Special Education or Psychology OR a retired Special Education teacher.

We are seeking a volunteer to support our initiative to transition from paper-based to electronic systems by assessing current processes to determine if it’s possible to do with the current systems/technology at our disposable. Making recommendations and suggestions on the least costly way to digitize documents and supporting the implementation of efficient, technology-driven workflow.

Qualifications: Mix of technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience with digital organization systems such as Google Drive, Dropbox, SharePoint, or a document management software.

Training Required:  Professional Training

Time Requirements (Scheduling): Immediate but flexible
